MARATHON, Operator for sling doors

DESCRIPTION

The PUJOL door operator type MARATHON has been designed to operate residential sliding doors by means of a rack and pinion.
It has a U section frame, which supports a non-reversible industrial designed worm reducer, which guarantees hard-wearing characteristics. The unit is equipped with an a.c. motor and speed detector, which adjusts the power preventing crushing.
The built-in electronic control equipment allows the user to modify the following functions: Motor power, automatic door closing timer, lights timer and the direction of rotation. The unit has a connection for inserting a remote control card and connectors for adding safety systems and other accessories. The magnetic limit switches operate by easily adjustable stops in the rack.
The whole operator is protected by an injection moulded polyamide cover, designed by styling specialists. The cover protects all the essential parts, and can only be removed by the use of a key to unlock it.
The unit is simple to install, just fasten the support with an "R" cup, no need for welding, and place the operator on it. The patented swivel rest system of the operator allows the unit to absorb all the rack and drive irregularities.

Built-in Safety Systems

It`s equipped with a safety systems by means of which the operator reverses the direction if an obstacle is found in its path in the opening, and make a half second reverse and stops in the closing.
This is just a contact security. It is recommended to install protection accessories such us photocells, infrared barriers, safety strips, etc.
The motor is protected from overheating.

Operating the door manually

In case of power supply cut off, turning the release handwheel by 180º frees the operator and allows the door to move manually.
